Two of the GVO crew have landed in KONA for the Ironman World Championships 🌺🌋

Darren & Sam getting their first miles in on the legendary Queen K 👊🏼☀️ Settling into the heat, getting a feel for the conditions and ticking off those all-important final sessions before the IRONMAN World Championship.

Coach Billy is out in Kona too, supporting the athletes through these final sessions, making sure everything is dialled in and ready to be there on race day. 🤝

The rest of the GVO team arrive at the end of the week, and then the full crew will be together. 🔥

Years of work have gone into getting here. Now it’s about putting the finishing touches together, enjoying the experience and getting ready to race.

🇮🇪 WEYMOUTH 70.3 — MIKE & DAVE ARE READY! 🇮🇪

Two Irish lads taking on the Weymouth coast tomorrow. ☘️🔥

Mike comes into this one in seriously good form. Training has been going brilliantly and now it’s time to show what he’s capable of on race day. We want him racing with confidence, putting himself in the mix and challenging at the front of this race.

Dave lines up for his first race representing GVO and he is READY! He’s got that Irish grit in abundance and there’s absolutely no doubt he’ll give everything tomorrow. 🇮🇪

Perfect prep doesn’t exist, but Dave has done more than enough to put together a great race. Now it’s time to trust the work, get stuck in and show us what he’s got. First one in GVO colours — make it count mate!🔥

An absolutely epic weekend for Good Vibes Only on the world stage at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship! 🌍🔥

Six GVO athletes earned their place on one of the biggest start lines in the sport, and it was incredibly special to have Coach Billy out in Nice, supporting, shouting and watching the team put months of hard work into action.

And what a day they delivered! 👊

A massive highlight was Neil taking an incredible 3rd place in his age group 🥉🌍 — a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP podium! Running a 1.14! An unbelievable achievement and a result that shows just how much work has gone into getting to this level.

But this weekend was about the whole team. Every athlete had their own journey to Nice, their own challenges along the way, and their own goals on race day. To see everyone out there racing hard, enjoying the occasion and representing GVO on the world stage made us incredibly proud.

These are the days we do it for. Big races. Big performances. Teammates supporting teammates. Families on the course. Plenty of shouting. Plenty of emotion. And plenty of GOOD VIBES! 🤙💙

Leo is back racing this weekend at Saundersfoot Triathlon! 💙

After a brilliant performance at Long Course Weekend, he’s ready to get back out there, race hard and show the progress he’s continuing to make.

This is another opportunity to gain experience, build confidence and keep developing as an athlete. There’s a big year ahead in 2027, and every race between now and then is another step forward. 📈

Ais is taking the opportunity to race in Zell before lining up at the 70.3 World Championships in a couple of weeks. This one is about putting together a performance to build on, but also using the race as a BIG training stimulus to squeeze out that extra bit of fitness before Worlds! 💪🔥 Race hard, recover, then onto the big one!

🇵🇱 DOTTY — IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań

Dotty has had a brilliant build into this race and is in GREAT shape. The goal is simple, trust the fitness, race with confidence and RUN FAST! 🏃‍♀️💨 A strong performance is the priority, but the cherry on top would be securing a spot for the 2027 70.3 World Championships in Chattanooga 👀🌎 Go get it Dotty!

🇵🇱 GRAHAM — IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań

For G, we’re looking for another step forward from 70.3 Mallorca earlier this year. The run is a little bit of an unknown while dealing with a lower-leg injury, so it’s about controlling what we can, racing smart and putting together the best performance possible on the day. Progress is the goal. Go well G! 👊💙
