🌍 Time for some cultural tips! 🌍
Here's your guide to navigating Spanish customs like a pro:
🤝🏼 Do shake hands with everyone, starting with the oldest first. 💋🤗 However, expect a kiss on each cheek, a hug, or a pat on the back from those you know.
💬 Take the time to engage in some small talk when meeting people. This can involve humor or enquire into someone’s family’s well-being.
🔊 Try to tolerate a higher volume of noise. Spaniards are generally used to a higher level of noise in social situations. However, expect silence during the siesta!
🍽️ Do be prepared for late lunch and dinner. Lunch is around 2 pm, but it is no shock if someone ends up eating at 3.30 pm or even 4 pm on the weekends. And remember that dinner is around 9 PM so some restaurants won’t get busy until 10 pm!
🍲 Stay for 'la sobremesa' instead of leaving immediately after a meal is finished –it's a delightful Spanish tradition where guests are expected to enjoy more time together! This can help form close bonds. But keep in mind that Spaniards tend to stay up late to socialize!
✅ These are some of the do's, and soon we'll tell you about the don'ts!
💭 Does anyone know any of them already? 👇🏼 Write them in the comments!

In Spain, people greet each other and say goodbye with a kiss on each cheek🫂 Don't be scared! It is usual in Spain. In fact, these aren't really proper kisses at all. People usually touch their right cheeks together and make a kissing sound, then repeat the process on the left side.
Also, this is not an everyday thing. People don't do this every morning when they come into work, but if you meet a friend or are introduced to someone new, the double cheek kiss is given to say hello and goodbye.
Women are always greeted this way, but two men usually shake hands with each other unless they are relatives.
Thus, take your time when greeting everyone, because usually it takes time😘😉
