The Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET) was an early packet-switching network and the first to implement the TCP/IP protocol suite. Both technologies became the technical foundation of the Internet. The ARPANET was initially funded by the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) of the United States Department of Defense.

The packet-switching methodology employed in the ARPANET was based on concepts and designs by Paul Baran, Donald Davies, Leonard Kleinrock, and Lawrence Roberts. The ARPANET originally used the Network Control Program. Later, the TCP/IP communications protocols were developed by Robert Kahn and Vint Cerf, and incorporated concepts from the French CYCLADES project directed by Louis Pouzin; the ARPANET switched to TCP/IP in 1983.

Jandek is the musical project of Sterling Smith, a Houston, Texas-based American lo-fi folk singer. Since 1978, Jandek has independently released over 120 albums while never intentionally granting an interview and providing no biographical information, releasing on a self-made label "Corwood Industries"

The term "Re**er Madness" is associated with a sensationalized era in American film during the late 1930s. It originated from a 1936 propaganda film of the same name that aimed to depict the exaggerated and harmful effects of cannabis use.

The film portrayed cannabis as a dangerous substance leading to insanity, violence, and moral degradation. Despite its intended serious message, "Re**er Madness" has since become a cult classic, often mocked for its over-the-top portrayal of the consequences of ma*****na use. The term now serves as a cultural reference, sometimes used humorously to highlight historical misconceptions surrounding cannabis.
