Before looking up:
✔️ Wear certified eclipse glasses (EN ISO 12312-2).
✔️ Never look directly at the Sun without proper protection.
✔️ Avoid using cameras, telescopes or binoculars unless fitted with certified solar filters.
✔️ Keep children supervised throughout the event.

🚨 RED ALERT – TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO PROTECT YOUR HOME

A Red Weather Alert has been issued for parts of our region due to the risk of extreme heat and sudden, powerful wind gusts associated with a possible thermal burst.

While we all hope the worst doesn't happen, taking a few simple precautions now could help prevent unnecessary damage.

✅ Bring in or secure:

Toldos (awnings)
Parasols and umbrellas
Garden furniture
Plant pots and loose outdoor items

🌡️ If you're outdoors, try to stay out of the midday sun, keep hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure during the hottest part of the day.

💨 If strong winds develop, they can arrive with very little warning, so it's worth preparing your property in advance.

Stay safe, look after one another, and keep an eye on updates from the local authorities and emergency services.
