It wasn't planned, but the greyhound in the photo reminded us of a piece by Diego Giacometti, he made one in bronze more than forty years ago. It gave us an excuse to look back at his work more carefully, and also to think a bit about our own. We're not saying we follow his method to the letter, but we do share that same idea at heart: doing things slowly, without shortcuts, and letting it show over time.

That's why we've opened a new space on the blog, The Study Library, where we'll be gathering this kind of reference - people who've taught us something about the craft, each in their own way. We're starting with Diego, but there will be more.
