You can't go to Egypt and not see the Pyramids.....So we decided to go in style and take a horse drawn carriage to check it all out.
While taking the shortcut to the pyramids, we went through the back streets where we got a chance to see how the locals live. Here we went past young horses and camels playing amongst the rubble, these animals belong the to locals and are used for tourist to ride around the pyramids. While passing through the area we rode through landfills only a few meters from peoples homes.
We can honestly say that it was shocking to see such poverty in this historically rich area. Only a few hundred meters from one of the world's seven wonders.
