Townhouse gallery of contemporary art was established in November 1998. with the aim of providing the suitable opportunities to organise, prepare and host contemporary art exhibitions, as well as fostering a community of artists and community cultural activities. Townhouse of contemporary art is proud of its legacy and a history that spanned over twenty years of artistic and cultural events, projects and participations with diverse outcomes and different levels of success that proved our positive and continued presence in the field. Townhouse enjoyed a distinguished and acknowledged reputation in the local and International cultural field through living multiple, different and varied visual and performative projects, which always focussed on the artist’s concepts and production, providing a serious platform for critical discussions. Based on the latest developments - which is driven by unique and urgent circumstances- in the last period, came the necessity to evolve and change; and from here we were convinced of the inevitability of the existence of a modern entity to take on the challenges and vision of the past. With a creative team in charge that seeks new ideas, visions and aspirations, as well as working with strategies that suit the present day and near future, a new space and approach is born. We optimistically ask that our current and future audiences will provide all the available support, assistance and experience to the new venture,

من الحضور إلى الأثر. يستلهم المعرض تقنية الـ"جيوتاكو" اليابانية لطباعة الأسماك، حيث يترك الجسد أثره ثم يغيب. حركة وسكون، ظهور واختفاء. فما يختفي لا ينتهي، بل يستمر كأثر.
Presence, then trace. Drawn from " Gyotaku " , the Japanese art of fish printing . This exhibition holds the moment a body leaves its mark and disappears. Movement and stillness. Appearance and absence. What vanishes does not end; it continues as impression.

المائدة لا تخلو أبدًا.
هناك مقاعد تبقى محجوزة لمن كانوا يطرقون الباب دون موعد، ولمن ابتعدت بهم الأيام. هذه مائدة لهم ، للغائبين، للمشتاق إليهم. فالدفء لا يحتاج إلى دعوة.
The dining table is never really empty.
Some seats stay set for the ones who used to knock without calling, who arrived without an appointment, who belonged to the house before distance pulled them elsewhere.
This is a table for them , the uninvited, the far away, the missed. A reminder that warmth doesn't need a guest list.

ساحة أكسيس الفنية تدعوكم لمعرض الفنانة إيمان حسين: "كل في فلك "
ينطلق المعرض من تقنية الـ Gyotaku اليابانية (طباعة السمك المباشرة) لتأمل ثنائية الحضور والغياب؛ حيث يغيب الجسد ويبقى الأثر كعلامة للاكتشاف، مستلهماً رمزية الحوت في قصة موسى والخضر وفلسفة اليين واليانغ. إيمان حسين فنانة بصرية ومطبوعات حاصلة على الماجستير ومؤسسة "Seba Studio"، وتتأثر أعمالها بالتراث المصري القديم وجوائزها تشمل الميدالية الذهبية بصالون القاهرة وجائزة رافع الناصري.
Access Artspace invites you to Eman Hussin's solo exhibition
Utilizing the Japanese Gyotaku (direct fish printing) technique, "SEBA" explores presence, absence, and traces through spiritual parallels to ancient traditions, the story of Musa and Al-Khidr, and Yin-Yang. Eman Hussin is a Cairo-based printmaker, MFA graduate, and founder of Seba Printmaking Studio whose award-winning practice is rooted in Ancient Egyptian heritage and Near Eastern philosophies.

ساحة أكسيس الفنية يسعدها دعوتكم لمعرض الفنانة أسماء بخيت: "هؤلاء... (الغير مَدْعُوِّينَ على المائدة)"
يدور المعرض حول الدفء الإنساني، الذكريات، والروابط الصادقة التي تتجاوز الغياب والمسافات. أسماء بخيت هي فنانة بصرية واستشارية تنظيمية حاصلة على الدكتوراه في الفنون الجميلة (جامعة الإسكندرية، ٢٠١٦). تتأثر أعمالها بالحلول البنائية للفن المصري القديم، وحصلت على العديد من الجوائز المحلية منها الجائزة الأولى في التصوير، إلى جانب مشاركات ومعارض ممتدة منذ عام ٢٠٠٦.

The exhibition centers on human warmth, nostalgic memory, and genuine bonds that survive time and separation. Dr. Asmaa Bekheet is an independent visual artist and curator who holds a PhD in Fine Arts from Alexandria University (2016). Strongly inspired by ancient Egyptian art motifs, her award-winning career spans numerous solo and group exhibitions in Egypt and internationally since 2006.
