Our Story

Adam Elwan Jewellery’s contemporary feel and
Expertly crafted hand made quality are a result of
combining modern jewellery making techniques,
which Adam acquired at the prestigious
Jewellery Design school of Le Arti Orafe in
Florence, with the experience of
working with the extremely seasoned craftsmen
of Khan el Khalili, (Cairo’s traditional artisan
quarter).

After his return from Italy, Adam spent years
actively exploring Khan el Khalili and
meticulously seeking out the few master
craftsmen remaining from this regrettably dying
trade. Slowly growing his small team, Adam has
been able to contribute in not only
preserving, but also in breathing new life back
into this important niche of Egyptian culture.

Adam Elwan Jewellery is best described as
Art Deco inspired design that is an expression
of Adam’s Egyptian/ British heritage, and
through that combination he creates pieces that
are at once contemporary and timeless.
