Are weight and Mass the same ?
No, there are not.
When you buy apples, you say “give me one kilogram of apples” and the fruiterer use balance scale, you think it is “ Weight “ ☝️
This is one of the mistakes of our daily life.
Let’s differentiate between Mass & weight:

📌 Mass :
- Depends only on how much matter that the object contains.
- Fixed value ( don’t change by changing your place).
- its measuring tool is balance scale ⚖️.
- its measuring unit is gram ( = paper clip 📎 ) & kilogram ( = 1 liter of water 💧)

📌 weight:
- Depends on mass, planet which the object on, distance between the body and the centre of planet.
- Not fixed value.
- its measuring tool is spring scale .
- its measuring unit is Newton( = weight of object which its mass equal 100 gram).
- you can determine weight from: “ weight = mass * 10 “.
