Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) above the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital City in Egypt

The comet was discovered in January 2025 by the Mount Lemmon Survey, using a 60-inch telescope at Mount Lemmon in Arizona, USA. It comes from the Oort Cloud which is the outermost region of our solar system and extends from 2,000 AU to about 100,000 AU from the Sun.
Due to its long periodic orbit (about 1350 years), the comet is not expected to return back until around the year 3175.

The Grand Egyptian Museum

The world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization (ancient Egypt).

The $1bn museum is built on an area of 490,000 square meters, including exhibition galleries, a children’s museum, a conference hall, education facilities, and surrounding gardens.
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is located near the Giza Pyramids and contains more than 100,000 valuable artifacts from the prehistoric period to the Greco-Roman era.
For the first time, all of King Tutankhamun’s 5,000 artifacts, including his golden burial mask and coffin, will be displayed together at the museum. The Grand Egyptian Museum is a journey through time.

The GEM won the Versailles International Award, being one of the seven most beautiful museums in the world for 2024. The museum also won the Best Project worldwide award. The museum was awarded the EDGE Advance international certification for green buildings, making it the first green museum in Africa and the Middle East.

The grand opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum is set to be on the 1st of November 2025.
