Before anyone drives to a showroom, they have already been through your photos properly. They have looked at the wheel finish, checked the seat wear on a used listing, and tried to work out whether that mark on the door is a reflection or a scratch.
Six dark pictures taken on a forecourt in the rain will not survive that inspection. A proper gallery will, with consistent angles, an interior that is actually visible, and detail shots that answer the questions a buyer would otherwise have to phone and ask. Modera gives every listing the space to show a car properly across new and used stock.
Your photography is not decoration. On most listings it is the entire sales pitch.

A new model is announced, the manufacturer runs national advertising, and for a few hours your website gets more traffic than it normally sees in a month. That is the single best moment you will have all year to capture leads, and it is exactly when a lot of dealer sites slow to a crawl or fall over completely.
Modera runs on cloud infrastructure with content delivery and monitoring built in, so the pages that matter stay fast when everyone arrives at once. The campaign you paid for reaches a site that can actually handle it.
Traffic spikes are not a problem to survive. They are the day your website earns its budget.

A good share of your customers are over sixty. Some are shopping on a phone in bright sunlight, some use larger text, some navigate with a keyboard rather than a mouse. If your site only works comfortably for a young person with perfect eyesight and a fast connection, you are quietly turning away buyers who were ready to spend.
Accessibility has also stopped being a matter of goodwill in Europe, with rules now reaching many online services. The practical point is simpler than the legislation. Clear contrast, readable type, labelled forms and pages that work without a mouse make your site better for everyone, not only for the people who need it most.

Somewhere in the contract you signed with your current supplier, there is an answer to a question most groups never ask until it is urgent. If you left tomorrow, what could you take with you.
For a lot of platforms the honest answer is not much, and that is by design. Your stock history, your leads, your content and your customer records become the reason it is too painful to move. We think that is the wrong way to keep a client.
Your data is yours. Staying with a supplier should be a decision you keep making because the product is good, not something you are stuck with.

Choosing a website supplier is a decision you live with for years, so it is worth asking three things before anything gets signed.
What happens when we want to add a brand or a location, and what does that cost. Who can edit the site day to day, and does a simple change need a developer. What happens to our Google visibility when we go live, and who is accountable if traffic drops.
Any supplier worth working with will answer all three without hesitating. If the answers arrive vague, or arrive as a quote, you have learned something useful before committing.
Request a demo at modera.com and ask us all three.

We went through 50 dealer and importer websites across our markets, as a buyer would, on a phone, looking for a specific car. Three problems came up again and again.
Stock that did not match reality, with cars listed that had already sold and prices that no longer applied. Enquiry forms asking for eight pieces of information before a single question could be sent. Pages that took so long to load on mobile data that most people would have given up first.
None of these are design problems. They are platform problems, and they are costing dealers real enquiries every day.

The reason a lot of dealer groups stay on a website they have outgrown is a reasonable fear. They have heard the story where a relaunch went live and organic traffic dropped by half, and nobody could explain why for months.
It happens when URLs change without redirects, page structure is thrown away and nobody checks what was ranking before the switch. We plan migrations the other way around, mapping every existing page to its new home so the equity you have built stays with you. Your site changes and your visibility does not.
A relaunch should cost you nothing in traffic, and it should not be a gamble.

Nearly all of your traffic arrives on a phone, often on mobile data, in a spare five minutes. If your stock page takes four seconds to appear, a good share of those people are gone before they see a single car, and your analytics will record it as a bounce rather than a lost sale.
Speed is not a technical detail, it is the first impression your dealership makes. Modera Webfront is built for it, with fast pages, images that load properly and a mobile experience that holds up on a weak connection.
The dealer with the faster site wins visitors it never had to pay for.

A buyer who has decided on the car still has one question left, which is where to go. If your site sends them to a head office address or a list of towns with no detail, they will work it out on Google instead, and Google might send them somewhere else.
Modera gives every location in your network a proper presence, with opening hours, departments, contact details and a map that behaves properly on a phone. The buyer sees which site is nearest, whether it handles service as well as sales, and who to speak to when they arrive.
The last click before a showroom visit matters as much as the first one.

Look at your enquiry form and count the fields. If a buyer has to give you their address, their preferred contact time and their current car before they can ask a simple question, most of them will close the tab instead.
You do not need all of it up front. Take the minimum that lets your team make contact, then collect the rest in the conversation, where it belongs. With Modera you build the form you actually need, publish it across your sites, and see which version brings in more.
Fewer questions is the cheapest conversion improvement available to you, because the traffic is already there.
