Last Friday, we took a moment to celebrate our people 🎉

Everyone who turned a year wiser in February and March got a little surprise, while the rest of the team joined in for some snacks, drinks, cake, and a few games.

It might seem like a small thing—but these moments matter. They give us a chance to step away from the day-to-day, connect as people (not just colleagues), and build the kind of team culture that makes work more meaningful.

Meet Kris, one of our interns from last year.

He first heard about Milrem Robotics through the news and later attended one of our career days. What stood out? A place where both the development and production of advanced unmanned ground vehicles happen under the same roof.

During his internship, Kris started with smaller tasks but soon moved on to projects that had a real impact on the team. He enjoyed the experience so much that he decided to stay with Milrem Robotics after the internship.

Today, we celebrated International Women's Day!

At Milrem Robotics, about 13% of our team members are women. While this percentage may seem small, each of these women contributes valuable expertise, dedication, and unique perspectives to our work. From engineering and development to operations, marketing, and business support, they play a vital role in shaping the future of autonomous defence technology.

At Milrem, every Milremee is valued for their skills, ideas, and contributions. Today, we want to recognize the amazing women who are part of our team and help drive innovation forward every day.

Liivaku lasteaed külastas maakaitsepataljoni ja kohtus meie mehitamata maismaasõiduki THeMISega 🤩

When was Milrem founded? How heavy is THeMIS? Why is it called Milrem? How much does THeMIS cost? These — and many more — were the big questions asked by some very curious (and very sharp!) young minds today 👀

It was the official Take Your Child to Work Day, and we had the pleasure of welcoming the next generation to explore the world of unmanned ground vehicles. From discovering what their parents actually do at work to learning more about robotics and defence technology, the day was filled with excitement, great questions, and lots of smiles.

And of course — no great workday is complete without some very important perks: ice cream and popcorn for the kids

Army of THeMISes conquering the Shrove Tuesday bun!

Traditionally, these buns are eaten on Shrove Tuesday to mark the last day before Lent begins. In Estonia, Vastlapäev was historically associated with preparing for the long fasting period ahead and with enjoying rich, festive foods one last time. Eating vastlakukkel — a soft cardamom bun filled with whipped cream (and often almond paste) — symbolized indulgence before Lent. According to folk belief, the more buns you ate, the better and richer the year ahead would be.

Milrem Robotics Career Day is back — and we’re opening our doors to students again.

Last year, one piece of feedback stayed with us:
“Milrem is so much more than it seems at first.”

Students shared that Career Day gave them a deeper understanding of our organization and our work — something that’s difficult to capture at university career fairs. That’s exactly why we’re doing it again - to be open and honest about what Milrem Robotics is all about.
