Joseph Needs Our Help Now !

Our young friend, Joseph Chungata, was hit by a car while driving home on his scooter. The driver left the scene, but her car and license were photographed. Joseph's leg was severely fractured and needed surgery to place plates and pins. He is a special young man and our hearts are broken over his ordeal.

He is a veterinary student and the first person in his family to go to University. His mother works as a housekeeper and home health aide, and all the family resources have gone to Joseph's education. Joseph will miss the current semester of his studies and possibly more.

He has developed a severe post-op infection in the leg and has been readmitted to the hospital for multiple treatments in the operating room. The bills are rapidly adding up and the family (who we know and love) are unable to pay.

The case will wind up in court. The woman who hit him has resources, but denies all responsibility. The trial could take as much as a year, but there is an immediate need to cover hospital and medical expenses.

We will collect your generous contributions and guarantee the family can cover all the current medical costs as well as inevitable physical therapy in the future. This will be a long recovery and the outcome is still uncertain.
