As part of the closing phase of the third edition of 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞–𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬, Higher National School of Renewable Energies, Environment & Sustainable Development organized two complementary spaces focused on future collaboration and student entrepreneurship.
The first space, titled “𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥-𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧”, brought together faculty members and industrial partners. During this exchange, the School Director presented the dedicated collaboration platform, designed to support more structured cooperation around training, internships, graduation projects, applied research, and joint initiatives.
This discussion created an opportunity to identify practical areas of collaboration and to strengthen the link between academic expertise and industrial needs.
The second space was a workshop on “𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬”, led by Dr. Rima Ouchen, School Incubator Manager, with the participation of:
🔹 Mr. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐊𝐨𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Annaba Innovation Center AIC
🔹 Mr. 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐫 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢, Co-founder, Orkids Incubator
🔹 Mr. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐳 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭, Trainer and Expert in Entrepreneurship, University of Guelma
The workshop offered students an interactive exchange on how technical ideas can evolve into structured entrepreneurial projects, with a focus on project credibility, market understanding, team development, and entrepreneurship as a progressive learning process.
Together, these two moments reflected the purpose of 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞–𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬: building stronger collaboration with industry while supporting students in transforming their ideas into more mature projects

The discussion focused on how engineering schools and industrial companies can build a more structured model of open innovation collaboration, moving beyond occasional exchanges toward applied training, internships, graduation projects, industrial case studies, mentoring, prototyping, testing, and co-development.
The panel also highlighted the importance of preparing future engineers for real industrial environments, where performance, reliability, safety, feasibility, cost awareness, and operational constraints are essential.
In this context, open innovation was presented as a practical framework to connect faculty expertise, student potential, and industrial experience around shared challenges in renewable energies, digitalization, smart systems, automation, maintenance, process optimization, environmental performance, and safety.
