GALACTIC LILATECH is inspired by Lars Wedels passion for the 1920’s America, called Art Deco & dash of 1910’s Art Nouveau, combined with his longing for Asian culture, especially Japanese culture and the Bangkok neon light district. Lars has been looking at the SS20 trends and has combined these worlds with the trend of Galaxy and bold neon colours.

GALACTIC LILATECH will transport you into an otherworldly atmosphere, feeling like you are floating among the Northern Lights, various galaxies and time travel. The prints and colours should transport you into the world of galactic lilacs, purples, pinks, along side neon blues, turquoise and yellow, white and gold for contrast.

🌸Finally back from my internship at Jesper Høvring and what an experience that was ! Being part of his daily team and really being challenged in sewing, construction and experiencing the Danish couture scene, from the inside, was really beneficial and educational !

🌸Now I’m back at VIA and 7th semester has just begun . Today, I delivered one of my most heartfelt projects and it felt so great to present it to my peers and teachers ! I finally feel at ease and ready to challenge myself graphically and aesthetically on my upcoming final Bachelors exam!

🌸Today’s exam was about my Design Identity, where I produced a short portfolio, re-examining my previous work and developing my identity, as a designer and along with it, a 1 minute video showcasing my design thinking and mind in a creative manner!

🌸I hope you all are doing amazing and there is a lot of things coming up in the future ! So stay tuned

LARS WEDEL DESIGN IDENTITY FÆRDIG FILM

My collection entitled Nordic Kabuki is a combination of Nordic elegance, minimalism and beauty, mixed with the traditional Japanese art form of Kabuki theatre, dating back since the 17th century. Kabuki can be interpreted as "avant-garde" or "bizarre" theatre, shown through dance, dramatisation and reflecting Japanese mythology and history.

My goal was to create a collection that could tell the story of Kabuki and make people want to learn about this grand art form, turning traditional Kabuki costumes, prints, materials and colours into 21st century fashion.

Hello Everyone ❤️❤️❤️

It's been a long time since I've updated all of you, about what's going on with Lars Wedel Design and what I've been doing lately.

I finally received news that I was accepted into VIA Designs "Design & Business" bachelor top-up, which allows me to finish my Design Education and become a full fledge designer, with Fashion Design as my major ! To attend the last 3 semesters you have to apply a new portfolio and the faculty will determine if you are talented enough to continue the education and luckily I was accepted.

I will resume my education on August 14th 2018 and will graduate in December 2019.

I am currently working as a Design Assistant at CD Company in Århus, Denmark, gaining experience from the real world and this knowledge I will apply to the max. in my school assignments and future career.

I hope you all are doing well and I hope you all will take good care of my designs that are coming over the course of the next 2 years and will comment, like and share if you like. I always love to hear feedback and hearing what people have to say.
