WhoopWhoop! I´m really happy to be invited back to Prague for the fourth time. After three amazing festivals at Acidelika, this time we’re heading to a very special location: Altenburg 1964 — a huge multi-cargo ship right in the heart of the city.

Really looking forward to sharing some gritty tunes I’ve been loving lately and catching up with old and new friends.

There’s also a great new “hot tip” live act from Prague, as well as the Spiritual Sound Lovers around Dj Ghándí — incredibly talented and energetic artists from Prague’s electronic scene. I’m especially happy that a good friend from the Leipzig underground will be playing too. Sounds like a proper “not to be missed” kind of night to me.

So if you can make it, drop by. Prague and its crowd are more than worth the trip. Trust me 🔥🚀

It’s 1998 and Jamie Lidell‘s name glowing on the flyer for the first time at Neue Heimat. The whole crew’s buzzing with hype.

His tracks — “Freekin the Frame” (Mosquito, ’97) and “Sonelysome(o)ney” (Sativae, ’98) — weren’t just tunes. They were rituals. Sacred drops. Everyone knew: when those beats hit, we were loosing it.

Honestly, I’d say that second one on Sativae Recordings went down as one of the defining tracks of that club so by the way. {What do you think??}
But then it happened. That moment. Pure sweat, heavy bass & Jamie´s voice...
Still echoing to this day:
“Ye-heyheyhey, Stuttgart…”

This performance, and especially the sound, was unlike any other. It’s got a jazzy, funky vibe with a raw, punk-like attitude, but it’s also fkng techno from hell as i like😈🔥

I’m still obsessed with this session. It’s easily my absolute number one I’ve ever seen, and I’m so incredibly thankful I got the chance to see it. Shout outs & thx .kostron & all the crazy clubkidz of this Night. luvya🫶
