Magic is Key

Why do I go out to the countryside of Norway to practice Seidr in a group of 13 experienced witches?
I know I’m not alone in feeling ‘other’ and like there is nowhere that I truly belong. Always there is a yearning somewhere within. Even know, as I am here, immersed in ancient magic practice, I yearn, I hunger. For the woods, for a life I’ve never lived, for my children, for fulfillment. And. I feel normal.
Here amongst the witches I can listen and feel like my experience of the world, the self, and reality is normal. The little girl I once was who still lives within me rejoices. If only she would have known.

This is a difficult one to share because it’s so personal. And, when I remember the beginning of my forays into the magical realms and was learning to understand that living in them helps us live in the so called real world with more presence and authenticity, it was because the stories of the stories others dared to share where the public might find them.

So here is one of a spirit animal, which turns out to be more dog than wolf! Some breeds are easily confused!
