When becoming a mother society expects you to behave a certain kind of way, including giving up certain kind of things.
I am very happy to announce that riding a bike doesn’t need to be one of them at all! And yes, you might be more scared, have a huge respect for things you have done before without even thinking twice especially when your kids join you in exactly does things (I guess this would be a topic for a separate post) - but does that mean you should not do them no more? Certainly not.
So I am also happy to announce my personal summer of bikes and rides!

Jumping on this Insta-trend because 2016 for me was not just a year that now is a decade ago, but a turning point in my life (yes, it sounds cheesy but what can I do).
In May 2016 I started a trip around the world on my motorcycle Cleo - in a time where I had no SIM cards of foreign countries, no internet on my phone if there was no WiFi at the accommodations in the evening (so often no phone connection for days and weeks), no hotel booking apps on my hand while traveling and no navigation besides of the preloaded GPS, that failed me countless times. When I look back I feel like traveling changed so profoundly in our days of google reviews and cell phone connection everywhere - so 10 years to me feel not just like a decade, but a bit like another life.
But one thing hasn’t changed: it’s still such a privilege to be able to see so many parts of the world and get to know its citizens - today and 10 years ago.
