I got my first MTB, a Vitus Nucleus 275 hardtail, in 2019 and focused only on long bike tours with zero trail riding. That changed in February 2022 when I discovered a local trail and started learning jumps & technical riding. Two months later on April 20, 2022, I attempted a ~4m gap jump. .mtb last weekend was a rad! 11 blind stages, perfect weather, and trails that were spot on—technical, fun, and just the right length.
I was somewhere between racing and surviving after being sick during the event, so it was more about floating and free-coasting through sections where I normally would have pushed harder. My body definitely wasn’t giving 100%, but I made it to the finish with no crashes! Yayyy! 🥳
Really happy to come away with P11 (even though the goal was Top 10), especially with no training coming in.
Next up: Roßbach… on the hardtail? 🤔🚲

This thing has never been on any .mtb events yet. Curious how the long wheelbase would perform.
So hyped to race this weekend at the Blinduro X .mtb in Lipno, CZ. Been sick since Labour Day and couldn’t train, but looking forward to the challenge with my “new” bike.
