Wer macht den besten Ataya in Gunjur? 🫖 Das war die Frage der letzten Friday Activity auf Benna K***a. Bei der alljährlichen Ataya Competition vergangene Woche mussten sich die Teilnehmer einer kritischen Jury stellen. 🧐 Wer am Ende gewann? Cherno Kah, herzlichen Glückwunsch! 🎉

Who crafts the best Ataya in Gunjur? 🫖 That was the question of our latest friday activity: The annual VolNet Ataya Competition at Benna K***a, where the contestants had to prove their skills in front of the judges. 🧐 In the end, Cherno Kah was announced as the winner. Congrats! 🎉

Vor einer Woche haben wir als Friday activity einen Batik-Workshop gemacht. Mit etwas Kreativität und Farbe wurde gewöhnlicher Stoff so zu kleinen Kunstwerken zum mitnehmen 😁

One week ago, we held a batik workshop as our Friday activity. With a bit of creativity and colour, ordinary fabric was turned into little works of art to take home 😁

Bei der Friday Activity am vergangenen Freitag wurden die Kids überall auf Benna K***a mit Kreidekunstwerken kreativ 🎨

Wir sind sehr traurig, einen lieben Freund auf Benna K***a verloren zu haben: Interest, meistens nur „Inti“ genannt, ist letzten Monat verstorben. 🐾
Inti war über das letzte Jahrzehnt der Hund unseres Freiwilligen-Koordinators Gentle und hat den Großteil seines Lebens auf Benna K***a verbracht. Dabei hat er Generationen von VolNet-Freiwilligen kennengelernt. Er war über viele, viele Jahre hinweg ein guter Freund und ein treuer Begleiter.
Ruhe in Frieden, Inti. Wir werden dich vermissen.

We are very sad to share that we have lost a dear friend at Benna K***a: Interest, more commonly known as “Inti,” passed away last month. 🐾
For the last decade, Inti was the loyal companion of our volunteer coordinator, Gentle. Having spent most of his life at Benna K***a, he got to know generations of VolNet volunteers. He was a true friend and a constant presence for many, many years.
Rest in peace, Inti. You will be missed.

Am Karfreitag gab es auf Benna K***a einen kleinen Faltworkshop ✂️🧻
Mit den Kids haben wir gemeinsam Boote gefaltet und anschließend bunt bemalt ⛵🎨

On Good Friday, we had a small folding workshop at Benna K***a ✂️🧻
Together with the kids, we folded boats and then painted them in bright colors ⛵🎨

Über die Osterzeit haben wir auf Benna K***a zwei besondere Friday Activities gemacht 🐣✨
An einem Freitag wurde es bunt: Wir haben gemeinsam Ostereier bemalt 🎨🥚
Jedes Kind konnte seiner Kreativität freien Lauf lassen, die Ergebnisse waren sehr hübsch!
Am anderen Freitag ging es auf Schatzsuche 🔍
Über das Gelände verteilt haben wir kleine Zettel versteckt. Für jeden gefundenen gab es ein Stück Schokolade 🍫

Over the Easter period, we organized two special Friday Activities at Benna K***a 🐣✨
On one Friday, it was all about colors: We painted Easter eggs together 🎨🥚
Every child could get creative, the results were amazing!
On the other Friday, we went on a little treasure hunt 🔍
We hid small notes around the area, and for every note found, the kids received a piece of chocolate 🍫

Ein neuer Esstisch für Benna K***a 🎉
Wir sind sehr stolz darauf, nun einen neuen Esstisch auf Benna K***a gebaut zu haben. Während der alte Tisch, der über eine lange Zeit im Einsatz war, aus Holz mit einer Plastikoberfläche bestand, ist unser neuer Tisch aus Beton und besitzt eine geflieste Oberfläche.
Er ist überaus robust, einfach zu reinigen und kann noch mehr Gäste bewirtschaften.
Vielen Dank an alle Freunde, die uns beim Bau geholfen haben!

A new dining table for Benna K***a 🎉
We are very proud to have built a new dining table at Benna K***a. While the old table, which had been in use for a long time, was made of wood with a plastic surface, our new table is constructed from concrete and finished with tiles.
It is extremely durable, easy to clean, and able to accommodate even more guests.
A big thank you to all the friends who helped us with the construction!
