Thank you ****lawoche for the warm reception. We had a wonderful time and really fun during the concert in Burgdorf last night. Can’t believe it was sixteen years ago since last time. Time really flies 🫣

We took every moment to enjoy the smell of spring during our stay. And what can we say, it’s always a pleasure meeting old friends, and Jens we love you 🫶

„Earth Songs“: Die Erde – die wir für selbstverständlich halten. Unser Zuhause.

Das schwedische Vokalensemble gehört zu den etablierten und vielfach ausgezeichneten Gruppen der internationalen A-ca****la-Szene. In den Anfangsjahren ließ sich das Ensemble von Vorbildern wie The Real Group, Fjedur und Tamarind inspirieren – ein stilistisches „Warm-up“, bevor ihr individueller Sound vollständig einsetzte. Heute stehen eigene Kompositionen und Arrangements im Mittelpunkt ihres Repertoires, wodurch Vocado einen unverwechselbaren musikalischen Fingerabdruck entwickelt hat. Im Rahmen des Konzerts „Earth Songs“ stellt Vocado wichtige Fragen zu unserer Zukunft auf diesem Planeten.

Ein besonderes Highlight: Erstmals besucht die A-ca****la-Woche Hannover die Stadt Burgdorf. Der Burgdorf unterstützt die Veranstaltung als Kooperationspartner.

For the first time in many years we are back in the studio, or at least in a beautiful acoustic church to record some of the songs we’ve been singing for the last couple of years and especially during our jubilee last year. Once again, we have had the opportunity to collaborate with the one and only - a ca****la legend and master sound engineer - Gunnar Misgeld. We are so excited to finally share some nice recordings of the songs, stay tuned!

Just finished a composing weekend at Sjöviks folkhögskola in Dalarna were we first met twenty years ago. Love this place 🧡

In July 2008, we recorded an EP with eight songs from our then-current repertoire, and we wanted it to capture our natural sound. Hence, it was recorded in whole ensemble takes, in natural acoustics and with little editing. And hence the title – Naturell.

Maybe we didn't think too much of the recordings at the time, and never made them available online, but today, with the perspective of time and experience, we think that they sound quite nice and refreshingly.. natural. 🍃

Maybe you will like them too, as we now introduce our 16 year old EP Naturell. And with it comes a pledge to record and release music a bit more frequently in our days ahead. ✋
