Long tail cast on an even number of stitches and start with a WS row:
RS: k1, sl1 wyif
WS: p1, sl1 wyib
K1 = knit one
P1 = purl one
Sl1 = slip one
Wyif = with yarn in fromt
Wyib = with yarn in back
RS = right side
WS = wrong side
My last creation! This one is baked in the oven, free on a flat tray with a baking sheet underneath. The first 20 minutes it baked with a tray full of water underneath. Then I took it out and baked another 20 min at 200°. The cast iron pot I ordered from a person in France will arrive when it can. It left on Monday from central / western France and today it got to a place called Réau, south of Paris.

These must be the quickest, most satisfying 2 at a time, fleegle heel socks I have ever tried making! I got this from either a supermarket in Sweden or one in Finland. The manufacturer is Finnish. I will wear these a lot to see how fast they wear, I wouldn’t stock a sock yarn that isn’t able to sustain a bit of wear. Interested in testing the super simple pattern? Would you use this wool for garments?

I abandoned this project more than a year ago because I didn’t like how long the strap over the shoulder was getting, so now I have to understand what I did so far and take it down a notch. Still better than knitting it again. It feels like I am working a lot with my own lately, which pleases me dearly. It is helpful having left some precious notes on the Ravelry project page.

Finished one skein of my in purple - a wool I got in Finland back in 2022 at this festival in . I need very little of the second one to finish this second sleeve. Maybe I can also knit a pair of slippers with it, it is so strong, I couldn’t break it with my bare hands. Swipe for a few memories from when I got it, it was June 2022 and the mosquitoes were fierce!
That same summer I had finished spinning and plying the merino that I later dyed yellow with sheep sorrel, and which now serves as the main color of this cardigan. I am overwhelmed by the journey I shared with these fibers.
