Even though his path might have been unconventional, the 25 year old managed to climb to the top of the art world within just a few years. After exhibitions in Asia and the Arabic Hemisphere, Bengel recently celebrated the opening of his first solo show in the renowned Hoerle-Guggenheim Contemporary Gallery in New York City. Sauerkraut vs. German Angst. 🥬🇩🇪
Kraut ist nicht nur das Gemüse des Jahres, sondern wird in einer neuen Studie auch damit in Verbindung gebracht, Angstzustände lindern zu können. Symbolisch wollen wir nun also mit frischem Sauerkraut die German Angst aus dem Bundestag vertreiben und unseren Politiker:innen frischen Mut einhauchen. Denn wir sitzen hier alle in einem Boot und sollten in einem Miteinander die Herausforderungen angehen. Und wer hätte schon gedacht, dass das größte Superfood bei uns vor der Haustüre wächst? Oder frei nach Goethe: „Warum in die Ferne schweifen, wenn das Gute liegt so nah?“

As a child of this region, it was a special honor to create an artwork for Mercedes-Benz and to follow in the footsteps of legendary artists such as Andy Warhol, who have shaped the brand’s artistic legacy.
May the star continue to shine brightly over the Neckar for many years to come. ⭐
On January 29, we mark 140 years of inventing the automobile and setting the world in motion. To celebrate this milestone, was invited to capture the key personalities and models from 14 decades of in his unique sand and gold technique. The artwork will be on display at the from February onwards and open to the public.

“A Tent in the Universe” 🪐⛺
Some time ago I read the quote from Steve Jobs: “We’re here to put a dent in the universe.” I liked this megalomaniac approach at first. But on closer inspection, it becomes clear that this claim can never be fulfilled. Many of us put ourselves under pressure to leave something “significant” for posterity or even to deform the physical universe.
Yet we forget how small and insignificant we are in the universe. Scientists estimate that there are about 100 billion galaxies in our observable universe, and each galaxy contains on average hundreds of billions of stars. So I can reassure you all, no one will ever put a dent in the universe. ✨
So my counter-proposal is: Put your tent in the universe. Pitch your tent for the brief moments you are here, marvel at the wonders of nature and enjoy the time with your family. ⌛
In astronomical time terms, no one will remember us anyway, so we might as well just have a good time. 💃
