This handsome senior dog is Jester.
Jester is also at the ranch for the first time and is doing a 3-day welcome boot camp here. That means Maureen is giving him some real guidance. She spends a lot of time with him and introduces him to all the dogs one by one—first our own therapy dogs, then the other canine guests. This way, he can settle in well and without too much excitement, and build a bond of trust with Maureen.
After the boot camp, he’ll move right on to what is sure to be a calm and relaxed summer camp!
Welcome, Jester!

Three new dogs arrived at the ranch today.
They’re young, playful, and friendly little guys: Westy, Beertje, and Punto.

You’re sure to feel right at home here and have lots of fun with the other canine guests!

This is Burrito.
Burrito is a 10-month-old, very lively puppy who is currently going through his Welcome Boot Camp at the ranch. He’s the only dog in his family, so life at the ranch with the other dogs is, of course, a totally exciting experience for him.
But look how well he’s already fitting in with the others!

At Renno Ranch, all the dogs always get a tasty treat every now and then, of course.
To make sure these aren’t just artificial, chemical-laden “junk food-sins,” we serve Maureen’s homemade dried beef liver bites.
100% natural and 110% DELICIOUS!
At least, that’s the verdict of our very strict testing team.

In addition to plenty of space for running and playing tag, the ranch also has a few special features. For example, there’s a small viewing tower that even smaller dogs can climb to admire the view. For particularly athletic dogs, there’s a trampoline, and everyone loves the ramps in the agility area.
When you’re done playing, you can relax on the pallet sofas. And then have a little photo shoot with Maureen. Just like Turbo and Skip did this morning.

Molly is a master of nonverbal communication. Just look into her eyes and you’ll know right away: she wants a treat. And another one. And preferably one more! Right now. Otherwise she’ll be sooooo sad! ;-)

Our new guest, Molly, is sprawled out picturesquely on the colorful rug. She really likes it. She loves lying there!

Turbo and Skip are back at the ranch too, and they’re excited about their summer camp.
Here they have buddies to play with and plenty of space to run and romp around.
And every time they come back to the ranch, they get to meet new dogs.
And then, of course, there’s Maureen, whom every dog is always thrilled to see, time and time again.
And no, their stay here isn’t as serious as their expressions might suggest. They just wanted to look their best for the photo their owners will receive.

Buddy and Rusha (our new rescue Puppys) are eager to participate and enjoy spending time with other dogs. In the process, they’re learning a lot about social behavior and will be able to get along well with all the dogs that come to the ranch. It’s all part of their (tough ;-)) training to become therapy dogs.
When called, they come running right over. And they also execute the “Sit” command very successfully.
