SCL’s Petar Brinić has received the “Prof. Dr. Ljubomir Ćirković” Foundation Award for the best MSc thesis defended at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, during the 2024/2025 academic year.
His MSc thesis, “OQCET: Open Quantum Cluster Embedding Theory”, was completed at SCL under the supervision of Jakša Vučičević. Petar will continue his PhD studies at SCL, also under the supervision of Jakša Vučičević.

The award was presented on 27 January 2026, on the occasion of the Faculty’s Saint Sava Day celebration.

SCL trainee Milica Raković successfully defended her BSc thesis at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade, on Friday 24 October 2025 at 18:00. The thesis entitled

Ground state and electronic transport in models of organic semiconductors

was done during an internship at SCL under the supervision of Dr Nenad Vukmirović. The members of the thesis defense committee were:

SCL trainee Stefan Malijević successfully defended his MSc thesis at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, on Thursday 30 October 2025 at 14:00 at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade (room 665). The thesis entitled

Stabilizing quantum many-body scars in the PXP model using periodic driving

was done under supervision of Dr. Ana Hudomal. The members of the thesis defense committee were:
