Dr. Milica Pešić, the PI of TartetedResponse, attended IBISS Biomedicine Research and Collaboration Capacity at Roche’s RISE Event.

Roche's initiative RISE hosted a one-day event in Ložionica, Beograd, on 27 September, aimed at bridging the gap between innovation in clinical practice and collaborative research. The programme featured several sessions tailored for experts in the field.

Session I focused on digital health innovations, showcasing contributions from Health Tech Lab and C4IR Serbia. In Session II, participants explored the integration of fundamental research with clinical applications, illustrated by studies from scientific institutes including IMGGE, IVI, IBISS, INEP, and IORS. Session III equipped attendees with strategic tools and methodologies for forming and securing funding for collaborative consortia, with insights from EUTA and the participation of BIO4 Campus representatives.

The achievements of IBISS were highlighted through presentations by Dr. Milica Pešić, Dr. Danijela Maksimović-Ivanić, Dr. Aleksandra Uskoković, and Dr. Aleksandra Mladenović, demonstrating their impactful contributions to the biomedical research in Serbia and beyond.

🔙✨ Throwback highlights from project!

📍 In May 2022, Dr. Miodrag Dragoj completed a short-term scientific mission at the Institute for Cancer Research, Medical University of Vienna, Austria. During his stay (May 4–30), he received specialized training in bioinformatics for DNA sequencing data — an important step forward for our research.

On January 24th, 2025, the TargetedResponse Webinar gathered researchers and clinicians from the field of oncology.

Dr Milica Pešić, the PI of the project, opened the workshop and welcomed the lecturers. Prof. Chiara Riganti and Dr. Thomas Mohr gave lectures on lung cancer, Assist. Prof. Barbara Breznik spoke about glioblastoma, and Dr. Radmila Janković gave insights about molecular testing in solid tumors in Serbia.

29. januara 2025. je na Institutu za multidisciplinarna istraživanja dodeljena nagrada fondacije ,,Akademik Radoslav Anđus'' za naučnu publikaciju mladog istraživača iz oblasti fiziologije/biofizike članici tima Ani Stepanović. Nagrade su uručili prof. dr Pavle Anđus, prof. dr Nebojša Jasnić i dr Ksenija Radotić.
