Some shots of China streets. Sometimes you have to remember to look at what’s around you when you’re done with your ride.
While it’s true we ride to see the beauty of the land, sometimes after a long day of cycling, the best part of the day is getting out of the heat and seeing the city. Walking in the busy streets passing the beautiful people. It’s powerful when you realize that the people around you could be as similar to you as a brother, or a sister, but you’ll just never know. @ Shanghai, China

Year one of the Rally - we had no map, rode in all the wrong places, were WAY overpacked, and exploring.
Flash forward to today, and we are riding the rally’s about the same way. To be fair, we pack less though.
In 2014 we flew out of Chengdu with our eyes on Shanghai - we didn’t get there on that trip, but we did make it to Chongqing...

Ah yes, the bustling street markets of China – the vendors are hustling, and people are moving.
Can you hear the yells coming from the stalls pushing their product to bystanders? How about the purr of cars, motoche’s and trucks?

These little shops along the road make the trip worthwhile every year. Small businesses line the cities and countryside. The shop owners are warm and welcoming. ..
