When you come from a well-to-do family, remember to triple the work ethics of your parents so that your generation will out-perform you. Do not be content with your parents name; they’ve made their legacy. Your turn to make yours. Likewise, if you come from a poor background, you cannot sleep- you must bulldoze to break the chain of poverty. Bulldoze with some sense

1) Reduce your circle of friendship
2) Knock on doors and ask for opportunities or create one
3) Seek ways to gain a skill and be the best skills man in that trade
4) Be disciplined with your studies
5) If you don’t understand something, use the internet to research it. Ask questions and don’t give up
6) Seek guidance from experts
7) As you navigate your new university environment, a lot of things will shoot themselves at you. Keep your head grounded and even if s**t happens, stand your ground. Like phoenix, you’ll rise from the ashes.
8 There are consequences to having s*x and worst still, unprotected s*x. No matter how intense your passion is and how well you master your period (women), do not foreground s*x. Foreground your studies.
9)You’re there to have a first class degree even if you had poor GCE advanced level grades, this is the time to turn things around.
10) Most importantly, think before you choose a programme to study at university. How is it going to help you and your community? What will you potentially earn ? What will you become? Will you leave a legacy? Don’t just enrol in any course. Do your research. I’ll rather you choose a programme that you’ll be most proud of rather than choose one that once you graduate, you’ll feel like you wasted years and money. Choose wisely!
