Great news for the blockchain technology! With 192 votes to 0 and no abstention, the National Council, as the first council, passed the new blockchain legislation yesterday. In doing so, the parliament followed the preparatory commission, which had unanimously supported the submission. This means that there is a good chance that Parliament can adopt the bill in the autumn session and that the legislative changes will come into force next year.

Federal Councilor Ueli Maurer was satisfied with the legislative project: "It is a template that is extremely important for Switzerland and that will secure it a top position in the field of new technologies.
