Space Innovation builds on the multi-domain relevance of space technologies to support the development of innovative projects in the space sector.
Its offices are based at ETH Zürich and at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland. Our focus is:
- Strengthening Switzerland’s space capabilities
- Offering opportunities to involve players in space innovation
- Enabling space technologies to contribute to sustainable development

Some members of and the EPFL Space Center / .innovation teams visited the CMi – Center of MicroNanoTechnology at on February 3.
We had a very interesting one-hour tour led by Cyrille Hibert, Process Engineering Team Leader, including a visit to the cleanrooms and an inside look at the machines and processing equipment supporting microtechnology users.
This visit highlighted how collaboration and knowledge-sharing between EPFL centers and labs are truly fruitful, fostering innovation across disciplines.
