🚨Escalating hostilities in are once again forcing civilians to bear the heaviest toll.

* Surging Mass Displacement: Over 104,000 civilians have been internally displaced under heavy shelling, while more than 2,700 individuals have fled by sea toward Djibouti under perilous conditions.
* Civilian Casualties: Three children were killed in shelling that struck an inhabited village in the Al-Wazi'iyah district, western Taiz, alongside reports of projectiles falling in residential areas.
* Deepening Education Crisis: Disruptions to the education of over 137,000 children threaten their future and escalate the risk of school dropouts.
* Violations Targeting Humanitarian Facilities: Alarming reports of storming and looting of medical and relief facilities, as well as civilian homes along the western coast, coupled with ongoing arbitrary, retaliatory detentions.
* Maritime Paralysis: Vessel traffic through the Bab al-Mandab Strait has plummeted by nearly 88%, placing critical humanitarian and food supply chains for millions at severe risk.

SAM emphasizes that International Humanitarian Law mandates the unequivocal protection of civilians, children, and medical and relief units, and calls for:

* Independent and comprehensive investigations into all incidents to ensure accountability and end impunity.
* Urgent international action to scale up the humanitarian response and secure unhindered aid corridors.
