Another rough day in the office. Today, we spent an unbelievably beautiful afternoon out at the Yellowknife Golf Club for the NTHSSA’s 10th Anniversary celebration. Thank you to the amazing Golf Club staff for their patience as we descended upon the course and to Copperhouse for spinning up an amazing lunch.

We are back out at the Yellowknife River setting up for the Yellowknives Dene First Nation’s annual Xat’o Gathering taking place this weekend. It is such a breathtaking site and we have had the honour of hearing about the history and significance of the location during previous events. We hope for another successful gathering with beautiful weather for all!

Yesterday, we transformed The Explorer banquet rooms into an elevated indoor garden party with luxe velvet tablecloths, gold accents, and fresh greenery and flowers. It has been a pleasure working with Ben and Judith over the past 8 months to bring their vision to life. Pictures don’t begin to do justice to how warm and welcoming it felt.
It takes a village. Thank you to all the other vendors who worked with us to make this night magical.

It’s a quiet weekend by our summer standards but the crew were still up bright and early this morning to set up for the annual Behchoko Spiritual Gathering at Russell Lake. Another beautiful morning in the office.
Last night, we broke a record for The Exploder with a banquet so large that we needed all of the Katimavik rooms and the restaurant with 4 buffet lines. The staff were amazing, as always, and The Straydogs had the crowd up on the floor from their first song. Well done, everyone!
