Maybe you heard, or maybe you’ll be interested to know that Mark has decided to leave the Ripperz due to personal circumstances. Mark helped get this band going over 25 years ago and played bass on all 3 of the bands full length albums over the course of those years. From those first tiny shows in Trav’s garage during high school to sweaty nights at the zoo, to freezing cold tours out west sleeping on floors and in the van. From playing shows for just the bartenders and sound techs in the room to selling out the Park Theatre, and coming back after a band space fire… it’s been quite a ride for a bunch of guys who were just hoping to stay 15 til we die.😉

Thanks for all you’ve done for this band, Mark. We wish you the best.

We’ve had a heck of a time so far with over at the very cool working on a new record. We’re pretty happy with how things are shaping up. We had some visitors and are starting to make some plans. We look forward to sharing those plans sometime soon ish.

Odds formed in Vancouver in 1987 and broke onto the scene in 1991 with their indie debut Neapolitan. Their 1993 follow-up Bedbugs delivered the hits “It Falls Apart” and “Heterosexual Man,” launching a run of acclaimed releases including the platinum album Good Weird Feeling and the #1 rock radio single “Someone Who’s Cool.”

Along the way, Odds have written music for TV favourites like Corner Gas and continue to bring their explosive, irreverent live show to stages everywhere — most recently with their 2023 release Crash the Time Machine.

A few nights ago we played our first ever show at The Handsome Daughter and we’re still riding that high.

What a room. What a crowd. That place has a vibe you feel the second you walk in and y’all made it unforgettable for us. Huge thanks to Nick Faye for opening the night right and Camp Robber for keeping the fire going — the whole evening just worked.

New stage, new memories, loud songs, big smiles, and that feeling of “yeah… this is why we do this.”
Can’t wait to be back.
