The Winnipeg Rowing Club is taking Part in the Rowing Canada Aviron "Come Try Rowing" events happening all across Canada this weekend!

This Friday June 12, drop in at the WRC between 4-9pm and try out rowing in one session. The cost is $25 per person.

The Winnipeg Rowing Club's "Learn to Row" summer programming is now open for registrations!

Designed for adults 18+, this beginner-friendly course will teach you the basics of rowing during 6 x 2-hour classes. No rowing or paddling experience is necessary, and all athletic skill levels are welcome and encouraged.

Spots fill up quickly, so be sure to register soon.

The Winnipeg Rowing Club is taking part in the "Open Doors Winnipeg" event this upcoming weekend. Guests are invited to drop-in at the WRC to tour the boathouse, learn about the equipment, watch demonstrations, try dockside rowing, and discover more about the long and proud tradition of the sport in Winnipeg since 1881.

The Winnipeg Rowing Club held it's first club event in the newly renovated main hall, with the Annual Banquet and Awards taking place on January 17th.

WRC members and guests came together to celebrate community and friendship, to recognize athletic achievements, and to acknowledge the coaches and volunteers who make the WRC such a special place.

Thank you to Tracy Taylor, Brandi Smith, Amber Mamchuk and Sheila Wilson-Kowal for organizing the event, and to Beck Schroeder for taking photos! Here are just a few of them.

To celebrate the 2025 rowing season and look forward to the 2026 season, the Winnipeg Rowing Club will host its Annual Banquet on January 17th. It will also be the inaugural WRC event in the newly renovated banquet hall!

Dinner will be catered by WOW Hospitality, with a cash bar, slideshow, speeches, and awards to celebrate athletes, volunteers, and club accomplishments.

Tickets are $52 per person through e-transfer to [email protected]. Please include names of ticketholders in the e-transfer notes.
