The biggest scam on computers today is FEAR. These antivirus expiry emails are designed to scare you into clicking on the link, preying on your fear of not being protected sufficiently.

And these usually look pretty convincingly legit, but there is an easy to make sure.

EASY DETECTION OF SCAM SECURITY EMAILS:

Watch for these crazy long links, notice this one doesn't even say mcafee anywhere when you hover your mouse over it to see where it takes you.

Watch for misspellings as well i.e. Macafee, Mcafeee etc.
Also does it go to McAfee.com or mcafee.com.tw,
or Mcafee-renew.xyzscam.com.

And finally, if not firstly: Ask yourself, do you even run the security software in question? I haven't run McAfee on my computers in over 20 years, so this one is fake on first sight.
