Even a well optimized ad setup can end up with a policy issue you don't know about, like a hidden ad unit or ad stacking, until Google flags it.

We just launched the AdSense Policy Grader: submit your domain, and our AI checks your site against Google's AdSense, Ad Exchange, and Ad Manager policies, then emails you a prioritized report in about 30 minutes.

No installs, no code changes, no sales call.

Publishers using it have seen an 87% reduction in ad revenue clawbacks. Get your free report now: https://www.monetizemore.com/solutions/adsense-policy-grader/

Not every ad click is equal.

Some clicks are low-quality and aren't the kind advertisers want. Knowing the difference starts with understanding ad click spam.

A website layout changed. So did the Threat Level.

Sometimes, small changes can coincide with more accidental clicks. That's why it's worth keeping an eye on this metric after updating your site.

Same numbers, two views. Each shows you something different.

By day, a Threat Level report shows a trend: a site can climb from a normal 4% early in the week to high risk above 35% by the end of it.

By traffic source, the story sharpens. In this example, Google sits at 10% Threat Level. TikTok, same site, same week: 62%.

A site-wide average blends those into something in between. Segmented, you can see one channel driving risk far beyond the rest of the site, a channel-level fix, not a site-wide crisis.

This is a worked example. But the pattern is common, and aggregate numbers hide exactly what you need to know.

According to Imperva's (Thales) 2025 Bad Bot Report, 37% of internet traffic is bad bots.

It reflects what we regularly see in publisher accounts: a meaningful share of ad clicks aren't from people.

Invalid bot clicks can weaken the click quality signals platforms use to assess your account, and even relatively small amounts of invalid traffic can begin affecting those signals.

Ad click spam isn't one problem. It's four.

Most publishers only find out they have it after it's already affecting their account.

Each type feeds into the same click quality signal that ad platforms use to decide how much of your traffic they trust. Individually they look minor, but together they're usually what triggers a penalty with no warning and no appeal path.

Swipe to know the four types.

The rise of bot traffic online isn't slowing down, and these bots keep getting harder to detect. Once they land on a site, some are engineered to click on ads, and that's a serious problem for publishers. It leads to revenue clawbacks and, in worse cases, ad account terminations.

The latest 2026 Traffic Cop data shows Taboola as the biggest source of invalid ad clicks after users enter a site, with a 33.77% IVT rate. TikTok also ranked among the top offenders, at 21.79%.

IVT is growing faster than human traffic, and it's increasingly coming from sources publishers used to consider safe. As sophisticated invalid traffic grows, advertiser ROAS keeps taking the hit, putting publisher-advertiser relationships at risk.

If you're an ad-monetized publisher, having a real traffic quality strategy is no longer optional. Reach out to us at MonetizeMore to find out which of your traffic sources could be putting your ad accounts at risk.

⚽️ New data from Integral Ad Science, published July 10, 2026, shows a pattern worth watching as the World Cup winds down. Invalid traffic and Made-for-Advertising (MFA) rates both declined after kickoff on paper, but came in well above what seasonal trends had predicted, with invalid traffic running roughly 30% higher than forecast. Rather than a fraud spike, IAS points to bots and low-quality inventory staying active as real fan traffic climbed, instead of dropping off like they normally would this time of year.

It's a good reminder that raw, short-term numbers don't always tell the full story during high-traffic events.

Traffic Cop, MonetizeMore's invalid traffic solution, is built for exactly this kind of moment; real-time, ML-powered detection that filters invalid traffic and flags ad setup policy violations around the clock, so publishers stay protected no matter what's driving the surge.
