Saved a kitten from a steel mill (and a coworker)
I work as an electrical technician at a steel mill, and we have stray cats around here. All of them that I’ve dealt with are friendly, and we feed them to keep the mice away and cause they’re awesome. A few months ago, I was working in our mechanic’s shop when I saw this sweet little baby wandering around. I could tell she was small and very malnourished. One of the mechanics mentioned that she was the cat he had been throwing rocks at to scare away/kill because he “hates cats” and thinks leaving them to starve is crueler. (I hate the guy very much). So I quickly let my wife know I was coming home with her. I then spent about an hour crawling through a tunnel/cable tray to get this cat out and into a box I could take home. Now, she’s a cuddly, chirpy, spiky, little pumpkin that I would kill for. Her name is Aelin, and I wanted to show her off. The vet says she’ll probably be small forever, but she’s fully healthy.

"I Was Someone’s Everything Once..." 😿💔

Hi, my name is Mochi… or at least, that used to be my name.

I wasn’t always lying here alone, staring into the silence. There was a time when I had warm cuddles every night, tiny kisses on my nose, and a human who whispered, “I love you,” before they left the house. I waited by the door every day, watching the clock tick with my heart.

Then, one day… they never came back.

Days turned into nights. The food bowl stayed empty. The once-warm home grew cold. I curled up on their favorite pillow, hoping they'd walk in with that silly smile, calling my name. But they didn’t.

A kind stranger eventually found me, weak, barely meowing. I don’t know how long I had been forgotten, but my heart never stopped hoping. Now I’m safe... but broken. I still look at every door hoping it's them.

I don’t want pity. I just want to be remembered. I want someone to know I once meant the world to someone. I want to feel love again.
