Don’t get lost in the sauce.
It’s understandable. When you’re far from playing at full speed again, it’s hard to imagine getting back to where you were before.
But just building physical capacity plays a major role in psychological readiness.
Your rehab should progress in a systematic way, where physical demands only increase once you’ve successfully handled the level before it.
Eventually, you won’t question if you’re ready.
You’ll know you are.
Rehab should still be viewed as training. The goal is to build capacity, just with reduced stressors to match what your body can currently tolerate during healing.
If you’re going through an injury, have hope, trust the process, and keep training hard!

It lowkey breaks my heart sometimes to see so many young athletes dealing with overuse injuries and burnout as well as feeling like they have to play their sport year-round in order to get ahead.
Does it seem counterintuitive that playing their sport LESS can enable an athlete to get ahead? Yeah.
But will they be better for it? I reckon they will.
Solid testing just under 8 months post-op with the OVR Jump.
Power and symmetry are coming back, so I’m going to continue to incorporate more dynamic movement and higher-intent explosive work.
