**CLUB RECORD ALERT**

It's been a while since we've had one of these! We're excited to announce that Abbey McIntosh hit a new women's club record in the 10K this past week with a time of 34:13!

Not only is this a women's CR, but she is 1 of only ~15 H+P runners to ever crack 35! Congrats Abbey!

Happy New Year! Let’s get fit in a sustainable, cost-effective way. More work will bring more results, and doing less is still worthwhile, but this plan provides a very solid baseline. It won’t be easy, but if you execute it for 3 out of every 4 weeks over the next 12–16 weeks, you’ll be fit and ready to enjoy your spring goals. Let’s go!

We're excited to announce that the Athlete of the Month for November, as voted by your coaches and group leaders, went to Abbey McIntosh!

Abbey had a great month of November. Coming off her second-overall finish at the Waterloo Fall 5K Classic, she made her first official elite debut in the elite women's 5K at Road2Hope, where she proved she belonged and finished eighth overall with a new PB of 17:31.

On top of that, she took some downtime with illness but bounced back to handily win the women's side of the H+P Last Chance 5K in a very competitive field.

To top if off, all of this has been done with around two years of getting into the sport!

Congratulations on an awesome month to cap off an amazing year! We're looking forward to seeing what the future brings!

We’re excited to announce that the H+P Athlete of the Month for October, as voted on by your coaches and group leaders, goes to Robert Gudzak!

Robert has been an absolute force of nature this year. Whether it’s his club long runs or those early morning workouts, he consistently shows up, pushes himself, and elevates everyone around him.

After taking a hiatus from running about three years ago, believing his best performances were behind him, Robert committed to a steady three year rebuild, getting just a little bit better every six months. That consistency paid off in a huge way. He recently checked off a lifetime achievement goal by breaking three hours in the marathon, running a smooth 2:57 in Toronto. He did this despite less than ideal conditions and despite never hitting that mark in his younger years!

To top it off, he finished second in a very competitive 55 to 59 age group.

Massive congrats, Robert, and thank you for everything you do to make the club better!

We’re excited to announce that our Athlete of the Month for September- as voted by our coaches and group leaders- is Erin Simone!

Erin had an incredible summer of training, showing up consistently to our Wednesday night workouts and regularly joining our long runs. Her hard work paid off with a huge personal best of 1:29 in the half marathon in Windsor, achieved under hot and less-than-ideal conditions.

This performance ranks as one of our fastest women's masters half marathon times ever, earning Erin 5th overall on the day. We know even faster times are ahead when the conditions are more favorable - but this was an awesome sign of things to come.
Congrats, Erin!
