Welcome to week 6 of summer camp!

This week, our campers in the Minis and Juniors got up to lots of magic from making wands to fairy lanterns 🪄 Our Seniors were busy learning about natural dyes, wet felting and engineering cardboard Game Boys 🎮 And of course for all campers… slime! 🫟

We are well into summer camp with over half of our weeks completed, but we’re not ready to say goodbye just yet! Tune in next week for what our artists make at the Button, and don’t forget there are still spots available the remainder of August.

Have you ever generously donated materials to us and wondered what we used them for? Cardboard, for example, makes for excellent castles, looms, sculpture skeletons, and more!

Our minis and juniors were busy working away at their sea-themed masterpieces while the seniors learned a variety of painting techniques in different mediums throughout the week! 🌊🎨

Wondering what we’ve done this summer around the Button?

From papercutting to cyanotypes, we’ve been having a blast in our courses and workshops over the month of July! Thank you to everyone who participated in our summer programming, and we look forward to having those away for the summer rejoin us in the fall 🙌🏼

Tulip season is nearly approaching us!🌷✨

Be ahead of the game and come browse your colours of choice before they sell out in the fall whenever everyone’s ready to start planting!🪏

For only $15 a bag you can get 24 tulip bulbs or 15 daffodil bulbs. From daffodils, to pink, red, yellow, yellow with pink tips, or mixed tulips, there’s so many options, so hurry up and make sure you can get your colour of your choice!

The Button Factory Arts Centre will be closed this Saturday, August 1st to Monday, August 3rd for the civic long weekend!🙌

We will have regularly scheduled programming resuming back on Tuesday, August 4th with regular hours opening at 10 AM.
