If you’re preparing for an unmedicated birth, send this to your birth partner, because the slides are just the start and there’s more below.

Say it when you arrive, and again at every shift change and with every new provider who walks in, because the nurse who heard it in the hallway at 2pm might not be the one in the room at 2am, and put it in her birth preferences too so it’s written down and not just said once.

If she hasn’t said a word but you can see her body pulling away, say “Please stop, and ask her for consent first,” because sometimes her body speaks when her words can’t reach from where she is, and when you do speak up, stand where she can see you so she knows someone heard her.

And if something happened that shouldn’t have, you can ask afterwards to speak with the charge nurse or the hospital’s patient relations office.

Nothing happens to her body without her yes, so read this together before the birth and send it to your birth partner.

Just to be clear, the provider in this photo was fabulous and always asked for my consent 🤍

Comment BIRTH and I’ll send you my free live training on mentally preparing for an unmedicated birth 🤍

Your first labour went on for more than a day, and now that this baby is on the way, part of you is already bracing for a repeat. So many mothers carry that same fear: what if I can’t make it through that many hours unmedicated, the way I’m hoping to?

The birth ball is one of my favourite tools for getting your body ready, but what really carries you through, hour after hour, is what you’ve done with that fear. A mind that’s braced for another marathon keeps your body tense, and tension makes labour harder.

Here’s where I start with my clients: we name exactly what you’re afraid of, release it with self-hypnosis so it stops living in your body, and rehearse this birth, not the last one, until it feels like something you already know how to do.

If you’re planning an unmedicated birth and want to walk in trusting yourself and your body, comment BIRTH 🤍

If you’re prepping for an unmedicated birth and the fear feels bigger than you do right now, comment BIRTH and I’ll send you my free 15-minute training on how to prepare so you don’t panic when labour gets intense 🤍

Here’s Kylie’s story 👇

Birth had been the thing Kylie was most scared of for as long as she could remember, and she brought all of that with her into my program.

Inside the program she did fear release for the fear she’d been carrying her whole life, learned self-hypnosis and tools to decrease the sensation of pain during labour, got to know her comfort tools and all of her choices, and we prepped her partner too, so he knew exactly how to support her.

After her baby was born she messaged me to say it was the most beautiful, positive birth she could have imagined, exactly what she’d been wishing for and envisioning, and she ended with “your class gave me the greatest gift,” 🥹🥹🥹

If birth has been your biggest fear too, comment BIRTH and I’ll send you the training.

Most of the time, your body knows the way. It’s usually the mind that starts looking for the exit. That’s why I believe that training your mind is the thing you should be focusing on when preparing for an unmedicated birth.

If this is the birth you’re preparing for, follow along, and don’t forget to comment BIRTH for the training. 🤍

Hypnobirthing has a bit of a PR problem 😅
So let’s clear a few things up together!

Hyonobirth is about learning real, usable tools for your nervous system, the kind we simply don’t have time to go deep into in most prenatal classes.

Tools that help you stay calm and present when things feel intense, unpredictable, or out of your control. It also allows you to work through your fear before labour arrives so that the fear doesn’t take over the experience.

That’s exactly what we explore inside Awakened Birth: A Mind-Body Birth Series, starting in two weeks!

Drop the work BIRTH bellow if you’d like to learn more ❤️

I filmed this 3 weeks and finally able to post it, oh the joys of recovering from a concussion. 🤕

I already have more books I want to add to this list so this may just have to become a series 🤷‍♀️
