Brushed finishes create a textured surface and reduce reflection from overhead lighting. The brushing process will wear away different minerals at a different rate and result in a subtly varied surface. You can see how the softer veins through this Elegant grey are slightly deeper than the rest of the surface.
This is the bottom piece for a farm-style sink made from black soap stone. Water easily drains after specialized machining to create a sloped basin. This process takes extra time but performs substantially better than the flat-bottom you see with most fabricated stone sinks. We are committed to craftsmanship!
