In case you missed it on 60 Minutes, this is what Andy Rooney said about women near or over 60:
“As I grow in age, I value women near or over 60 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:
A woman near or over 60 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think.
If a woman near or over 60 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting.
Women near or over 60 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.
Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman near or over 60.
Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman near or over 60 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.
Yes, we praise women near or over 60 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman near or over 60, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.”

For three decades, I have walked alongside people through the storms within them and around them. I have helped them build tools for emotional regulation, care for their inner child, and remember who they are.
I have learned that self-love and self-care are practices we return to again and again. We lose our alignment sometimes. We can come back to it.
This weekend, I returned from facilitating a four-day women’s retreat on Vancouver Island where we lived that journey together.
Most of the women arrived without knowing anyone else. Over four days, we rested, released, reset, remembered, and rejoiced in a sacred circle of sisterhood.
On our final night, beneath the full moon, we made new commitments to ourselves: to care for the woman within, to trust her truth, and to stop leaving her behind.
I am still taking in what we created together. I witnessed women soften, stand taller, and see their own light more clearly.
