Over 10 classes a week in downtown Victoria as well as Day Training services and agility in North Saanich. We specialize in foundation training for puppies or older rescues and in urban dog enrichment. We have an excellent track record helping puppies and shy dogs be braver, helping impulsive dogs achieve self control, and giving owners the tools they need to train as professional
In our Intermediate (second level) class, we start adding distractions. Clementine (6 months old) is interested in someone holding tasty treats, but can still immediately return to her owner when called. This game gets fun when the dog can leave behind a smelly, high-level distraction to return to an owner who is only holding something low-value like kibble.

Are you living with a four-legged teenager?
I was hanging out in the yard recently with my 10-month dog. In the span of about 5 minutes he ran zoomies, chewed a stick, tried to peel bark off the tree, dug a hole, pulled on a branch, scraped moss off the rocks with his paws, and dug another hole. This is not a bad dog. This is a dog who needed a job, and found himself several. Adolescent dogs have an enormous amount of energy and a very strong need to use their brains. If we don't give them something to do, they'll find something. In Intermediate class, we put that energy to work in ways that are fun for both of you!

Time change for teenage dog class 11:15 this Saturday! Help your teenage dog with their impulse control so they want to be calm and focused on you - around other people and dogs. The popular and invaluable teen time class has been still has a few spots!

Woohoo's, yahoos and good job buddies were in abundance at our AAC trial this weekend. A very big thank you to Paula Collins or tireless judge... it is truly magical when a judge can keep young and old so thrilled with the game. Your skills as a designer are so apparent as we watch everyone execute so many different options that were made available to handlers on each run. Truly excellent courses for everyone! Also thanks to all those who came out early, stayed late or were just generally attended to the behind the scenes details. It really does take a village to have these things work and although its a small village, it just wouldn't be possible without each and everyone of you.. Stay tuned for brags and money raised for the food bank.

These sessions focus on guided socialization, real-life skills (like leash walking and polite greetings), and helping dogs build confidence around others-all at their own pace.
