In loving memory of Dinah and Harry ❤️
Some bonds are so special they span a lifetime. Brother and sister from the very beginning, Dinah and Harry shared fifteen wonderful years side by side - growing up together, growing old together, and filling their family’s lives with love along the way. In a final act of togetherness, they passed peacefully in each other’s company, leaving this world just as they entered it: together. Their story is a beautiful reminder that some hearts are simply meant to walk through life - and beyond - side by side.
Rest peacefully Dinah and Harry🐾🌈❤️
Their devoted dad shared the following words in their honour:
“DINAH & HARRY
2011 – 2026
They left peacefully mid-afternoon today, June 16, 2026.
With the Veterinarian and a Caregiver from Resting Paws.
They are now playing together in Puppy Heaven.”

In loving memory of Tia❤️
Small in size but overflowing with personality, Tia was truly one of a kind. She brought endless smiles, unwavering companionship, and a joyful presence that brightened every day. The memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever.
Rest peacefully Tia🐾🌈❤️
Her loving family shares these words in her memory.
“Tia was such a wonderful little good/bad dog. Loved the bones of her. Always looking for food and pets. She was my constant companion for 9 years. She was so wonderful with my daughter, always careful. I loved how she took her toys outside and left them, only to go get them hours later - making sure they had a nice time outside too. My sweet girl will be missed deeply.”

In loving memory of Domino❤️
At Resting Paws, we are continually humbled by the depth of love shared between pets and the families who cherish them. In life’s most tender moments, we are privileged to witness bonds that transcend words and leave lasting paw prints on the heart.
Domino was clearly a deeply cherished companion whose life was filled with adventure, comfort, and devotion.
Surrounded by love until the very end, he spent his final day with his family before being laid to rest beneath the trees in East Sooke - a place that brought him joy throughout his life. His family kindly shared this tribute to the handsome, loyal boy who will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Rest peacefully Domino🐾🌈❤️
“Thank you so much for such a compassionate, caring and peaceful facilitation of Domino’s final transition. We felt very comfortable and held by the both of you in that very difficult experience.
After spending a few more hours with Domino, we buried him in a beautiful spot under the trees in East Sooke, his favorite place. We’ve included a photo of his new home and another of him in his glory days- what a handsome, good boy he was!
We’ll always treasure the memories of his happy, smiling face, love of rear-end scratches, meat treats, long walks, camping, and how much he loved being around his human family. He was the bestest boy in the world, and he’s already deeply missed.”❤️

In loving memory of Dug❤️
Dug was a cherished member of his family’s pack - steady, gentle, and always there in the quietest, most comforting way. He shared many homes, many journeys, and a lifetime of love.
Rest peacefully Dug 🐾🌈❤️
In tribute, his family shares these words from the heart.
“We noticed immediately how empty and quiet in the house it was 💔 he was always so quiet but he was always there. He was such a good boy. He moved with us from Regina to Ottawa to Halifax back to Ottawa and then here to Vic. He was always so amazing in the car. He’d sniff for a bit and then just lay down and snooze! We loved taking him on adventures and he was always so happy. One of our favourite memories is of when we took him to Parksville last August and let him wander through the water. You could see on his face how happy and excited he was!! It was so awesome 💕 I’ll never forget how happy he was :) it makes me cry and smile at the same time :) I don’t know what else to say other than we loved him so much and we were a good pack :) “

In loving memory of Hope❤️
Some dogs are aptly named. Hope was one of them.
This special girl arrived when her family needed hope most, and over the next nearly 13 years, she became so much more than they ever could have imagined. She was adventure, joy, resilience, comfort, laughter, and unwavering love wrapped in a beautiful Bernese soul.
Hope embraced life with a spirit that was impossible not to admire. Even as her body grew tired, her joy never dimmed. She continued to greet the world with the same sparkle, determination, and infectious enthusiasm that made everyone around her smile.
Hope leaves behind a legacy of love that lives on in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to have known her.
Rest peacefully Hope🐾🌈❤️
Hope’s family offers these words to honour her life and spirit.
“Hope. I named her this because she came into our lives at a time when we needed to feel hope the most. She delivered that and far more than we could have asked for, and she will keep hope with us forever.
She was best adventure dog around and joined us on so many hikes and trips, especially the snowy ones (as long as there were no flies around — those were her biggest fear and where she’d draw a hard line in her adventuring).
She exceeded all expectations being a Bernese Mountain Dog and graced us with nearly 13 years of pure bouncy joy. Even when her hind legs began to fail, she gave her all to maintain every bit of bounce she had left. It was impossible not to have a smile on your face when around her.
She is greatly missed by us, by all of her many, many animal friends, and many human friends alike. She was one of the most loved dogs around and got to live a wonderful, full, and long life.
Goodbye our little Mini”

In loving memory of Willow❤️
Some dogs leave paw prints on our hearts. Willow left hers everywhere.❤️❤️❤️
A beautiful blend of sunshine, sweetness, and unconditional love, Willow was the very centre of her family’s world. She greeted life with a gentle heart, a joyful spirit, and an endless desire to be close to the people she loved most. Whether she was soaking up the warmth of the sun atop the family trampoline, keeping watch over her home, or simply basking in the company of her family, Willow found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.
Rest peacefully Willow 🐾🌈❤️
These words are shared by Willow’s family in loving remembrance.
“Willow, who did nothing but love us and crave our company, deserved to live forever. If the love any entity gives is their value, Willow was beyond estimable worth. Willow was a very athletic and energetic dog. When she was younger, she accompanied Jodi on mountain bike rides. In this shot, she is taking a break after an energetic run. This shot shows off her unique tongue!”

In loving memory of Hamley❤️
Some souls are simply unforgettable, and Hamley was one of them.
This sweet yellow Lab was the center of his family’s world. The bond he shared with his devoted parents was something truly special - a relationship built on deep trust, unwavering love, and countless cherished moments together. Their commitment to Hamley and his care was evident in everything they did, and anyone who met them could immediately see just how much they adored him.
Whether enjoying a day beside the ocean, exploring the outdoors, or simply being together, Hamley was happiest by their side. He brought joy, comfort, laughter, and purpose to each day and, in return, he was treasured every moment of his life.
The loss of a beloved companion leaves an immeasurable void, but as his family so beautifully expressed, Hamley “dug a hole of love” in their hearts where he will always remain. Though he is profoundly missed, the love he gave and inspired continues to live on in the countless memories they shared and in the bond that can never be broken.
Rest peacefully Hamley🐾🌈❤️
These words are shared by Hamley’s family in loving remembrance.
“You made the hardest day in the world a little more manageable.
Thank you for your extreme kindness and attention to every detail.
Hamley’s biggest love was to hang out at the beach with his two favourite people.
We miss him more than I can express. He dug a hole of love in our hearts where he will always remain.”

In Loving Memory of Juno❤️
Some dogs leave paw prints on our hearts; Juno became part of the very fabric of her family’s lives. A gentle and devoted German Shepherd, she was a steadfast source of comfort, companionship, and unconditional love for more than ten years. She shared an especially profound bond with her dad, whose days were shaped by her loyal presence. She was a trusted companion, a source of comfort through life’s ups and downs, and a cherished member of the family whose presence brought a sense of peace and belonging.
Despite her size, Juno was known for her gentle nature, kind heart, and friendly spirit, touching the lives of family, friends, and neighbours alike. After a courageous battle with osteosarcoma, she was peacefully released from her pain on a beautiful sunny day in the garden, surrounded by the family who loved her so dearly.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love, devotion, and treasured memories she leaves behind will remain forever.
Rest peacefully Juno🐾❤️🌈
Her family shares the following tribute in honour of a truly special girl whose life was a gift and whose love will never be forgotten.
“Rest easy, our sweet Juno. October 14th 2015 – April 4th 2026
Our hearts are completely broken. Yesterday, we said goodbye to our sweet Juno.
For over 10 years, Juno was the gentle soul of our home. She was the most loyal companion we could have ever asked for—always wanting to be near us and especially following Dave everywhere she could.
This year has been incredibly difficult as she battled osteosarcoma, but through it all, she never lost her sweet nature. She remained the same gentle, loving girl until the very end, still doing her best to be the constant companion she always loved to be.
While the house feels far too quiet today, we are finding peace knowing she is finally free from pain and back on her feet again.
We want to truly thank our family, friends, and neighbours for your incredible support during this time. To those who visited her and helped us through these last few months—it meant the world to us and to Juno.
Thank you for ten beautiful years, Juno. You are loved beyond measure.”

In loving memory of Kesler❤️
At 15 years old, sweet Kesler leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and countless cherished memories. A beloved Cocker Spaniel, he was the heart of a devoted family who adored him through every stage of his life. His gentle presence, joyful spirit, and unwavering companionship brought comfort and happiness to those lucky enough to know him.
Rest peacefully sweet boy🐾🌈❤️
In honour of Kesler and the immeasurable gift that dogs bring to our lives, his family has chosen to share the following words:
“Because of the dog’s joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
