Wet season is here and we’re still moving! Here’s a little weekend turning stair & newel project we did mid Fall.

Here’s a little deck framing addition with some groovy handrail framing we recently completed for one of our DIY clients who wanted to get in on some of the finishing action themselves!

With summer wrapping up, we’ll be shifting our focus toward part-time work for the coming months. This change gives us space to balance work with family, friends, hobbies and some technical training while still delivering quality results for our clients.

For larger projects, we’re now booking into May 2026, allowing the proper planning and preparation these builds require.

Stair stringers combined with un-level landings and big long stretches like this one can be a very daunting task.

We’re certainly happy about how this one came together!

From unsafe and falling apart ➝ strong, modern, and low-maintenance.

These new stairs feature three Fir 2x12 code-compliant stringers, two double coated 2x12 Comb-Face Spruce lumber for extra support and a nice finished look to match the house. The client wished to reuse this sleek aluminum railing and paint it later on ♻️

At WestWind Pro Builders, we believe even the smallest projects deserve proper craftsmanship. This entry deck wasn’t just outdated—it was unsafe, only sitting on cinder blocks with framing exposed to the weather.

We rebuilt it from the ground up:
✔️ Secure concrete footings and anchored framing
✔️ Protected structure with clean modern look
✔️ A simple black-and-white finish that fits the home’s style

Our goal is always the same: Help our clients design their vision, build safe, and durable structures that look great and will stand the test of time—no shortcuts, and a relationship built on honesty & transparency.

Patio Door & Entryway ✅

What looks like a straightforward patio door replacement is actually part of a much larger transformation. In this project, the new door and stairs were carefully planned to accommodate some big layout changes happening inside the kitchen.

We decreased the door width while importantly keeping the space inside lit with all the natural light we could.

The stairway was also rebuilt to meet updated code and provide a safer, more functional transition in and out.

This is just the beginning — stay tuned as we reveal how this exterior change ties into our full-scale kitchen renovation.
