A new period in art for me, maybe? ⚡️🧠🔥🖌️🎨

No AI was used in creating this piece of digital art! 🚫🤖 Just good, ol’ fashioned drawing, layering, and digital “papercut” brushes I got on Etsy!

The brush set came with a tutorial that I followed to make the creator’s project, then once I learned the techniques involved in using them, I applied them to one of my girls.

I think she turned out pretty cool! Like a more perfect, digital version of one of my older, analog mixed media paintings! I’m excited to see what else I can do with my girls and different Procreate brushes! 👏🤩

(I didn’t make the watercolour background myself, I got that on Etsy too, but I *did* make the kraft paper background myself using the papercut brushes!)

Well, inside SunnyGrrrl HQ, in Sunnyland, Canada we do our level best to stay calm, stay vigilant, stay busy & plan for what’s to come.

Staying busy has meant still producing in the fresh hellscape served daily that is both renovations and, well ALL OF THIS! *gestures wildly around the world*

So, while SunnyGrrrl HQ was in the last final drag of renovations I decided the world needed yet another cute minizine about how to survive the apocalypse. (Not the literal bible one, the real one lol)

My tips & tricks work at every stage as we all dig our heels in and say “well it can’t get any worse” as if any of us think we have any real power to do anything about it.

The thing is, we actually do have all kinds of power.

We have the power of our words & voices, we have power over what we let in, we have power over what we do in our spare time, and we have power over whatever place we all call our homes (if we’re secure enough to have one.) This tiny zine can show you how to use all of those powers and well, like I said, survive the apocalypse. 🤷🏼‍♀️

But first, I gotta get my shop back up & running so I can even send you one! 🫣

SunnyGrrrl HQ just needs Harold to do some wiring, then for me to do some final paint touches on the pink walls & trim, then I have to assemble a metric f**k tonne of furniture & hang things and THEN I’ll finally have a nice room where I can make, photograph & ship my little products! 💝💌📫📮
