The Toronto Trans Coalition Project is a partnership of trans and gender non-binary support and advocacy groups in Toronto.
We aim to improve the everyday lives of trans and non-binary people in Toronto and across Ontario and Canada. We will accomplish this goal by having trans and non-binary people create, implement and make decisions in all aspects of this project which focuses on improving access for trans and gender non-binary people to the Social Determinants of Health. Our goals include:
- to advocate for needs of the trans community with a focus on the Social Determinants of Health; Housing, Income Security and Employment, Health and Wellness, Education and Social Inclusion.
- to create and implement a Needs Assessment to assist in determining needs of the trans community.
- working with our partners including governments, and health agencies to implement its findings.
- to explore the feasibility of creating a trans community hub/space. Member groups include:
