Riparian Acoustics' latest newsletter (which profiles a bunch of Bandcamp Friday offerings) profiles a release that was recorded in our beloved space during our first year of existence. Sarah Peebles' "Delicacies in the Garden of Plenty", features trios with her, Kyle Brenders, and Nilan Perera captured by Mechanical Forest Sound at the release show for her album "Delicate Paths" (on unSounds). This new album is a benefit release for food rescue organization Second Harvest.
Head on over to the Riparian page for more info about this recording and other exciting releases.

Early in Ratio's existence, we hosted an album release event for Sarah Peebles' wonderful "Delicate Paths" album on the Unsounds imprint of Andy Moor (Ex) and Yannis Kyriakides. The event, which included her playing sho in a trio with Nilan Perera and Kyle Brenders, was documented by the ubiquitous Joe Strutt.
Peebles has decided to release some of the music performed that night alongside some of her electroacoustic compositions through a Bandcamp page that's recently been established by Second Harvest, Canada's largest food rescue organization. All proceeds from this recording go toward this venerable cause. We encourage you to donate generously and immerse yourself in this curious tapestry of sound.

Back in 2016 we presented Sarah Hennies' first solo show in Toronto. Fast forward to 2018 and our kid-sister organization Riparian Acoustics is co-presenting Sarah's masterful film-and-ensemble work "Contralto" at TIFF's Lightbox with Thin Edge New Music Collective performing the work. That same night, they're going to be premiering a brand new commission by Hennies.
Sarah Hennies: Contralto TIFF is a charitable cultural organization with a mission to transform the way people see the world, through film.
