I got the chance to MD the sessions last month and his song ‘Crash and Burn ‘ was one of my favorites to listen too while preparing for the show. I played around with the vocal stems, asked the band what they thought and this is what we came up with🙂‍↕️🫡 it is a blessing to have spaces that allow us to be creative and think out of the box in this way. Thank you and for providing spaces like this in the city. Big up for being one of the best videographers I know 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🫡 capturing all these amazing moments.BIG UP THE BAND!!! Rosh Riddims Band at the Rex Hotel🙂‍↕️
This clip is one of my favorite moments from my band’s first performance . It’s a trade between me and the man himself (literal genius) but also this was the last song we played and it was special because it was all improvised. I decided that the last piece would be me and the fam just creating in real time infront of the audience and moments like those as a musical director bring me joy because moments like this remind us why we started playing in the first place. It’s easy as a musician to get deep in the work aspect of it all and lose your joy in your craft but you always remember why you started when you put all that aside and just have fun. Thank you for getting us at the Rex and thank you for having us🙂‍↕️🙏🏾
